Most Americans are unaware that they already use Artificial Intelligence or A.I. – computer systems able to perform tasks that normally require the intelligence of humans. Examples include navigation apps, ride sharing apps and other applications we use daily. Yet, some companies are hesitant to use it to grow their business says author and Forbes #1 social media power influencer, Sean Gardner who was a guest speaker at Florida International University (FIU) Digital Branding Analytics Miami 2019 Conference (#DBAMiami). The conference which took place in Miami, Florida, gathered marketing master’s candidates, professors and marketing professionals with the purpose of sharing ideas about the world of marketing with rising marketers and those already in the profession seeking to learn more. “I think a lot of it is based on what we think it [AI] is versus what the way things are progressing,” said Gardner. A.I. is not scary robots taking over the world, but simple things like Siri on your phone. There are a number of ways that a marketer or business owner can scale their operations by taking advantage of A.I. There are applications for example, that can create your logo or produce a video for you cheaply by uploading your script.
